1971 Topps Football Card Game Part 2

This is the back of the game cards. If they look familiar it's because they are the football equivalent of the Topps baseball game cards issued three years earlier.

Here's a sampling of some of the best players I have in my collection, more survivors of my childhood collecting.

  1. I remember trying to play this game as a kid. We didn't have all of the cards, so it didn't work very well. We preferred the electric football game, where you lined up all the players, flipped the switch, and watched them all run into the corner.

I had forgotten that the playing field was on the back of the posters. I do remember wondering why the Bart Starr card was a 6-yard loss. I thought the best players should have had gains.

  2. I have two of these game cards, Daryle Lamonica, Oakland Raiders and Len Dawson, KC Chiefs. Any interest? Make me an offer.

  3. I have the complete set! Interested, email
