Since Marian Hossa joined the Blackhawks they've won two Stanley Cups and at age 36 he's still going strong having been named the first player of the week for Feb 9. The Hawks have a group of potential Hall of Famers but Hoss will most likely be the first inducted. I picked up this mini-collection on COMC during Black Friday weekend.
Yup to me a good base card is as good as a high end card or hit. I'd take those retro parallels over some crummy event-used, half-ass jersey swatch card any day. That 2011-12 Upper Deck with the horizontal celebration photo is awesome as well.
The Score Season Highlight/1990-91 design retro is my favorite, but all the throwback cards are cool. (There's never a time that's not cool in my book!)
Any card with a Blackhawk hoisting The Cup is a good card. Imagine poor Hossa if they would have lost. Captain Toews honored Hossa by handing him the Cup first during the initial celebration. I've added a video of Hoss being interviewed at the time.
Awesome stuff. My favorites are the OPC and Upper Deck retro parallels (even though the UD ones are paper thin).
ReplyDeleteThanks. I think I got a nice selection especially considering they're all pretty low end.

DeleteI like that one too. Marian's saying, "give me some love!"
