My Cup Runneth Over --Rookie-Wise
I picked up a complete base set of 2005 Topps Rookie Cup cards for about $10. Yes, the backgrounds are repetitive and boring but the color photos pop and the selection of players is great. The backs are interesting with their rookie emphasis. I chose six cards today with an obvious theme.

That set does pop. Awesome cards!
ReplyDeleteI really don't like the design of this set - it was clearly made for "parallelism", like any Topps set of the 21st century - but the photos are so great that it more than makes up for the design.
ReplyDeleteToo bad they didn't have a "still has the original background" parallel...
I've been nickel-and-diming my way through this set, but I didn't know that the entire base set can be had for $10. I might have to reevaluate my strategy... depending on how many cards are left that I would want.
