I don't know the story on Upper Deck's Champs hockey. Was it released in the US? Was it a limited quantity? There don't seem to be a lot out there. Here are four Hall of Famers I got my hands on.
Yep, these were released in Canada and the US. Packs had a few base and a couple mini cards like Ginter etc. Hobby boxes had mini autos and mini game used cards too, you could also get redemptions for Museum cards including a T-Rex tooth etc.
I completed the base 09-10 Set (no SP's or Minis) by buying a couple blasters. They are nice looking cards, I even mailed away the same Hull as yours and he signed it TTM. They make great autograph cards:
That is pretty unfortunate! I found mine back in the day at Toys 'R Us in Canada but maybe distribution was skewed or something. There are hobby and blasters online....pricey but if you want to take a chance you might be rewarded.

DeleteAs Dave H said yes they were they are the Upper Deck Hockey version of Topps Allen & Ginter's which is primarily Baseball.
