Really nice tribute. Love the photos you took, and that autograph is great. Lastly, Curb Your Enthusiasm rules and that was a perfect way to wrap this up. Sad to hear he passed so young, though it sounds like there was some sense of relief in it given that he'd been struggling with significant illness.
Thanks. The photos were taken without a zoom using a 400mm fixed focal length lense on a heavy film camera. I came up with some pretty good shots considering. (If I do say so myself). It's nice to know that Buck had some sense of closure with the fans of Boston before his death. Four recent WS championships help soooth the pain from 1986 was well.
Buckner was always a stand up guy. Sad to see one of the good ones go so young.
ReplyDeleteYeah, and it was sad to see every obit focus on the one bad moment in his career.

DeleteIt's been nice reading the online tributes to Buckner. And that CYE clip is a classic. They were talking about it on the radio this morning.
