I've been doing a bit of Ebay bargain hunting again.  It's somewhat time consuming but the drive is short and you don't have to get dressed up.  The fun is in the hunt and the kill.  I bsagged these three 2013 Panini Select football cards for a total of 33 cents shipped.

One of the tallest players in NBA history, Yao Ming is the most recognizable male athlete to come out of China.  I picked up this handful of cards for 22 cents shipped.

Ebay Bargains Todd Helton

Todd Helton's uniform #17 will be retired by the Colorado Rockies this summer.  Will Cooperstown be calling in five years or is Todd one of those guys who will wait and wait?  Did you know:  When Peyton Manning entered the game against Mississippi State in 1994, for his first collegiate action, the man he replaced was an injured Todd Helton?

Ebay Bargains Mark Grace

Here's another of my 11 cents shipped ebay purchases.  What's not to like?  Great photo, full bleed, nothing too obtrusive in the design.

I'm more of a fan of complete yearly stats but at least there's a second photo on the back.

I've seen two bloggers show off copies of Hank Aaron's 1955 Bowman Blue Sapphire reprint in recent days.  I picked one up as well for 50 cents.  I also found this one for six cents more.  It's an intense young Willie Mays.  Mays would win the NL Rookie of the Year in 1951.  He had a nice year, but his closest competition (not really close) were two pitchers, Chet Nichols and Clem Labine.  Mays would really get started in 1954 after missing most of two years of military service.  If not for that time missed there's a good chance Aaron would have needed to eclipse him as the all-time home run king.

 I paid all of  6 cents shipped for this bit of shiny card bling.  For that price I really wasn't concerned about the player.  However take a look below at this guy's career path.  And he does have a cool name.

Ebay Bargains --Strike a Pose

I really don't know much about Ichiro personally, really nothing.  I do know that he's put up some of the best numbers in baseball history.  For his entire 13 year AL history he's averaged 162 games played (from age 27-39), 216 hits, 37 stolen bases.  His lifetime average is .319.
