There are two more notable Willies that I don't have cards of, Willie Davis and Willie Wood. Both men played for the Green Bay Packers and both are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Where Have All the Willies Gone?

As far as I can tell there's only one player currently in the major leagues with the name, Willie --- Willie Bloomquist of the Seattle Mariners.  Back in the day there were more, including some of the all-time greats.  Here are eight from my collection:

"The Big M", Frank Mahovlich is celebrating his 73rd birthday today.

This is one of six times Frank would hold the Stanley Cup.

Frank was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1981.

Actor Ray Bolger was born on this date in 1904.

Bolger is best known for his terrific portrayal of the Scarecrow in the 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz.

The late great Jim Croce was born on this date in 1943.

Patricia Mae Andrzejewski, better known as Pat Benetar, turns 58 today.

Rod Stewart is celebrating his 66th birthday today.
