Happy Father's Day!
Here's the reason I'm blogging today about baseball and collecting. My Dad. I guess this picture was taken sometime around 1940 on the North Side of Chicago, probably within a couple of miles of Wrigley Field. He's been gone now for around 15 years and I do miss him, especially during baseball season.

Five Buck Cubs
More or less on impulse I bid $3.00 on a lot of Cubs cardson Ebay ($5.00 shipped). I think I did alright.
The lot begins with two 1985 Topps Supers of Sarge and Ryno.
Next were 11 Andre Dawsons including two serial numbered cards and a nice 2012 Topps Tribute.
