From the Vault -- Pictures from Wrigley 7 -- Help Identify the Phillies

Back in the day I went to a number of Cubs games with my Canon FTb equipped with a telephoto lens.

The camera looked like this:

The lens looked something like the one below.  It's a fixed focal length of 400 mm, no zoom.

Here are some  more pictures from the Cubs-Phillies game. Can you help me identify the batters?

  1. I'll take a shot...
    Barry Foote
    Garry Maddox
    Bob Boone

  2. Nah, I think Maddox and Boone are right, but I think the first one is Mike Schmidt.

  3. I wish I knew. I questioned whether the first one is Schmidt or not myself. If they were taken in the same inning (not sure) would Foote and Boone both be in the game? I need to post more pictures. Maybe someone can figure out what game this was. I'll post more pictures tomorrow.

  4. If it was 1977 or 1978, I'm saying that's Ted Sizemore. He had a mustache and long red hair and he was the Phils' second basemen those years.

  5. Using some pictures that you guys haven't seen yet I think I figured out the game. Check back tomorrow for more clues.

  6. I'm saying the game is May 24, 1978. Garry Maddox is #2 and Bob Boone is #3. I'm a bit stumped on #1, but I'm going to say it is pitcher Warren Brusstar.
