Hall of Famer Bill Cowley was born in Bristol, Quebec on this date in 1912.

Bill Cowley was awarded the Hart Trophy as the leagues MVP in 1940-41.  He won it again two years later.

 Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt am Main, Weimar Germany on this date in 1929.
Known for the diary she kept while in hiding from the Nazi's in Amsterdam, Anne died of typhus while in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in March 1945 at age 15.

Actor and singer Jim Nabors is celebrating his 82nd birthday today while recovering from successful heart surgery.
