This is off topic but I saw this image of a galaxy cluster taken by the Hubble Space Telescope and had to share.
It's hard to get your mind around the fact that each one of these bits of light is a galaxy containing millions or even billions of stars. Then try to imagine the vast distances between the stars within the galaxies and between the galaxies themselves. Very humbling indeed.
and yet, according to people of certain beliefs, we are the only life in all of it.
