Sid Gordon just looks like the prototypical "Guy from Brooklyn".
Back then a lot of players were just guys from the neighborhood. You read stories of guys taking to subway to the ballpark and such. So different now.
I've never heard the term "horse collar" before. It needs to make a comeback.
Along the lines of "putting up goose eggs".
Knew nothing on Mr. Gordon until this post... but that 53T card is gorgeous.
