Out of the Blue

This is a promotional trading card for Orel Hershiser's first book, Out of the Blue.  The hardcover was published on April 1, 1989 followed by the paperback on April 1, 1990.  I've had a stack of about 90 of the cards for 31 years.  No fooling.

I'm sure I could have bought the book when it came out but at the time was just not interested.  Free cards, of course.  Fast forward three decades and I came across the book in a thrift store for one dollar.  Hey, why not?

Now that I have it, is it a good read?
I'm sure I must own more of his cards but this is the only other one I've posted before.

  1. Cool oddball issue. Where did you get 90 copies of this card? Did you work for the publisher or something?

    2. Nice. I've always wanted to work at a bookstore. Now I want to just a tad bit more.
