Hall of Fame pitcher Herb Pennock was born in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania on this date in 1894.

Herb had a career record with the Yanks of 162-90.  He was also 5-0 in 4 World Series.
Herb is in the top row in front of the big tree just to our right of Lou Gehrig.

Tennis great Bill Tilden was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on this date in 1893
Tilden is widely regarded as the best tennis player in the world during the 1920's.  He won 7 US National Championships and 3 Wimbledon's.
