A Collector Collects Paper or David's Ephemera

With apologies to Mark's Ephemera.

ephemeraplural of e·phem·er·a (Noun)

Noun:
  1. Things that exist or are used or enjoyed for only a short time.
  2. Items of collectible memorabilia, typically written or printed ones, that were originally expected to have only short-term usefulness or...

Do you have things like this in a drawer, box or file?  I found these in a plastic shoe box along with some other "junk" (please note that I have put JUNK in quotes.
This one was courtesy of a customer who came up to my register one day.  Did you guess that it was an older man?  Well it was.  Taking out his wallet he says to me, "Would you like to see my pride and joy?"  "Sure".  He hands me the card above and tells me I can keep it.  I guess it's the physical version of those forwarded e-mails so many people hate (like?) of cute pictures or videos.  By the way, have you ever wondered if they give out a manual to guys when they reach a certain age that tells them things like how to pull their pants up to their chests and what parts of their life stories would be best to tell to every retail clerk they come in contact with?  I have.

I honestly don't know where or when I got this.  It's just funny.

I'm thinking this came out of a magazine.  I have fifteen dollars worth, that is five of them.

  1. No apology required. Junk is fun. More collectible or expensive junk is spelled junque.
