Big Cards Need Love Too -- #'s 5-8

I guess I'm in the minority but I think these 3-1/2" x 5", 1983 Donruss Action All-Stars are nice.   Here they are in numerical order. (Click to enlarge particularly if you want to read the backs).

Larry had two great years with the Tigers, 1982-1983 and hit .333 in the 1984 World Series.

Should Al be in the Hall of Fame?  He's a .303 lifetime hitter, with 2700+ hits and was a 7 time All-Star.  In 1983 Al was coming off a career year which saw him hit .331 and drive in 109.
Thank God the Red Sox won the World Series (twice).

Jason Thomson was coming off a career year in 1983.  In '82 he hit .284 with 31 HR  101 RBI and 32 doubles.  He also made his 3rd and final All-Star team.

  1. I think the collusion years in '85 and '86 cost Al Oliver election to the Hall. If it weren't for collusion, someone would have signed him just to have him get his 3000th hit.
