Architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was born in Aachen, Germany on this date in 1886.

Actor Michael York is celebrating his 69th birthday today.

Michael York plays himself on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

In this episode York is one of the co-owners of a  new restaurant who's chef is talented but suffers from Tourette's Syndrome.  This is what happened on opening night.  (WARNING: This scene contains swearing, lots of swearing, and is not intended for children or those who find swearing offensive.)  That being said it is probably the funniest moment in the series so far.
