Blow Out the Candles September 9

Hall of Fame Cubs player and manager Frank Chance was born in Fresno, California on this date in 1976.
1911 T205 (I need to get this graded)
Frank managed the Cubs to their last World Series Championship. (When he was born Ulysses S. Grant was President.  That's crazy, isn't it?)

These are the saddest of possible words:
"Tinker to Evers to Chance."
Trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds,
Tinker and Evers and Chance.
Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble,
Making a Giant hit into a double –
Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble:
"Tinker to Evers to Chance."

Chicago Bulls guard B.J. Armstrong is celebrating his 46th birthday today.
 1990-1991 NBA Hoops #60
B.J. was a key member of the first Bulls three-peat, 1991-1993.

B.J. is currently Derrick Rose's agent.

"The Fordham Flash", Hall of Famer Frankie Frisch was born in the Bronx, NY on this date in 1898.
