I sometimes struggle to find photographs of my birthday subjects.  With The Mick it's hard to choose which ones to leave out.  Here are some I found, in no particular order:
 Hey I recognize this shot:

Hall of Fame Yankees public address announcer Bob Sheppard was born in Richmond Hiils, Queens, New York on this date in 1910.

Actress Margaret Dumont was born in Brooklyn, New York on this date in 1882.

Margaret played straightwoman to Groucho is seven Marx Brothers films starting with their first, Cocoanuts.    I've always read that Dumont didn't get the Marx Brothers' humor and you can see it in her face on screen.

Groucho talks about Margaret at around the 7 minute mark.
Pianist, bandleader and composer Jelly Roll Morton was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on this date in 1890.

  1. Margaret Dumont is easily the greatest straight "man" that has ever been in the business. Considering the constant tweaking Groucho would do to get just the right line, how she could be such a professional in every scene amazes me.

That "Bigamy" scene is pure brilliance. My wife laughed so hard the first time she saw it.
