Garage Sale Packs #2

I went to a garage sale last weekend where a guy had a lot of cards.  Most of them were junk and mostly way overpriced.  The best thing I found was a box filled with ziplock bags of about 20-25 cards each for a quarter a bag.  Without opening them, which I didn't feel right about (and they were tightly packed), I could only see the outside two cards.  I did my best to at least get about a quarter's worth from each one.

Here are the highlights from pack two.  It had some more fun cards.

There are so many sets I've never seen before.  I guess this is one of them.  It's Upper Deck from 2000. I don't understand it but I like it.

Here's future Hall of Famer Craig Biggio also from 2000.  The card looks better in person.  The scanner doesn't pick up the shiny.
2002 Flair Carlos Beltran.
2005 Donruss Scotty Pods
This has some odd writing.  Why do they say, "had a chance" when the stats obviously show he ended up doing it?  I don't get it.

2008 Topps Chrome Jose Reyes.

2007 Bowman.  This is a pretty dull card but it's Ryan Howard
Pretty good resume.

Hey, Mate!

90's cards are amazing.

The "Mayor of Riverfront" was once voted the friendliest player in baseball.

Andre is a Pro Football Hall of Famer (2008) and is also in the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

1995 Topps Stadium Club Bruce Kozerski.  This was Bruce's last season.  I just like the photo.
The front was simple.  The back, not so much.
I was amused by these four yahoos.

  1. In reference to the Scott Podsednik card above. That is some horrible writing on the back of the card. I think the writer meant to say that he had a chance to become the first player since Vince Coleman to steal 100 bases in each of his first two seasons. In looking at the back that would have been impossible as Scott only had 43 SB in the season prior.
